CAREERS AT VISIA

Build the physical intelligence layer for the industrial economy.

  • Scope, sell, and stand up our physical AI platform inside the most complex industrial operations in the world. You walk a scrap yard, a steel mill, or a battery recycler, work out where Solstice drives change, which sensors go where, and what it's worth, and you own that motion from a first conversation through to a live site seeing real ROI.

    The role

Visia sells configured physical AI systems into the least digitized corners of the economy: scrap yards, recycling plants, steel mills, battery recyclers, and logistics hubs. Every partnership starts the same way. We have to understand how a specific operation actually runs before we can understand where we make the biggest impact.

Once we know where in a customer's process Visia has scope to drive value, whether that's inbound and outbound quality control, compliance automation, or process engineering, we select the right hardware for the plant's layout, its process, and the outcome the customer wants. Solstice supports a full range of imaging equipment, from cameras to X-ray to infrared to CT. A camera may technically be able to spot non-metallic contamination in a steel feed, but an X-ray may do it without the operator having to spread the material out first. That nuance is the difference between success and failure at Visia, and making that call well is what this role is about.

You report to Raghav, our co-founder and CEO, with a dotted line to our Head of Deployments. As a founding member of this function, you take on the work only our CEO can do today, so Visia can scale it well beyond him.

    Why this role, now

Visia is growing more than 50% QoQ, Solstice is launching to our customer base shortly, and inbound demand is building across metals, recycling, energy, and logistics. In a short window we've earned the trust of some of the largest operators in the industrial economy, including a Fortune 10 company, a multi-billion-dollar aluminum producer, a global steel group, and one of the biggest names in waste and recycling.

Today, almost every one of those deployments gets scoped, sold, and shaped personally by our CEO. Finding the use case on a new site, choosing the hardware, and winning over whoever drives adoption at that account, sometimes the operator, sometimes the plant manager, sometimes the CFO, is the hardest and highest-leverage work we do, and it doesn't scale past him. That's the ceiling we're hiring to lift.

    What you'll do

Your first weeks are spent learning the product cold: what Solstice does, what an X-ray resolves versus what a camera does, how our pricing is built, and how a deal moves from a cold conversation to a signed order form. You'll shadow live accounts and get into the field fast. After that, you own net-new implementations end to end. The commercial job isn't done when a deal is signed. It's done when the site is live and the customer is seeing measurable ROI.

    • Originate and scope. Look at a site or a whole sector, work out where Solstice fits, which sensors go where, the change we can drive, and the right hardware for the job.
    • Own the value case. Hypothesize the ROI while you scope, walk a CFO through the EBIT uplift and payback yourself, then build the tooling and process to validate it early in the deployment.
    • Carry deals. Lead commercial conversations with senior leaders, adjust the pitch whether the buyer is an EHS leader, an operations leader, a CEO, or procurement, keep the pipeline honest, build tailored proposals off our pricing, and drive order forms to signature.
    • Hand off clean and stay close. Give the Deployments team a complete, well-scoped package so nothing gets rediscovered on site, and stay with the account through go-live so the customer sees the value you sold.
    • Open new verticals. Run structured experiments into adjacent heavy industries like oil and gas and manufacturing, learn fast, and find what's worth doubling down on.
    • Automate your job. Get fluent fast in our stack, HubSpot, outbound tooling, and our internal AI agents, and push automation into the research, outreach, follow-up, and document generation around every deal.

    What gets us excited

    • You've got a technical spine. Maybe that's a CS or engineering degree, maybe it's consulting or strategy with real technical range. You don't need to be a world-class engineer, but you need to understand how a sensor works and how a process fits together, and explain it simply. Credibility here is earned, not pitched.
    • You find the use case. Shown a new site or a new sector, your instinct is where does the sensor go, what does the model do, and what's it worth, and you're not afraid to put that idea in front of a customer.
    • You can win over a tough audience. Getting the person who runs a mill or a scrap yard on the phone and earning their respect sounds like fun. You win it by staying curious about their operation and asking more than you pitch, not by selling hard.
    • You're AI-native. You treat your own workflow as something to automate, and you reach for tooling and agents before headcount.
    • You want to build. The best version of you probably wants to start a company someday and treats this as the training ground for it. We wrote this job so a founder would want to apply for it.
    • You're happy travelling roughly 20 to 30% of the time, a mix of conferences and getting on-site to scope and learn an operation first-hand. Early on some of that is alongside Raghav, and it grows more independent as you ramp.

    Expected impact

    • 1 month in: You're running discovery and first-pass scoping on your own, you've built the ROI case on at least one live opportunity, and you've been on-site at least once.
    • 3 months in: You own active discovery and scoping across your focus areas, carry a clear pipeline, and are turning qualified opportunities into repeatable deployment playbooks.
    • 12 months in: You own the commercial front for your focus areas, originate use cases, scope sites, build the business case, and carry deals with real independence while opening new verticals.
